  6. I received a fraudulent or Spam e-mail through my listing. What do I do?
    1. First, don't respond to the email.
    2. Second, forward the email to SharpRent.com customer service at info@sharprent.com.
  7. Help! I am having trouble logging in.
    1. Check to be sure that you're using the correct username and password. Your username is your email address.
    2. If you've forgotten your password please use our password recovery functionality. You can find it by clicking here: Password Recovery.
    3. If that doesn't work please forward your name and Property ID number to info@sharprent.com and request a new username and password.
  8. Can I get notifications of new apartments for rent?
    1. Yes, you can sign up to receive email updates of new properties that have been added to SharpRent.com that fit your search criteria.

  9. How much does it cost to advertise on your web site?
    1. SharpRent.com is simple and affordable—we have only three packages. Our first package is a seven-day free trial. If you do not cancel your service before the end of the 7 days, you will be automatically enrolled in our second package. Our second package costs $29 for sixty days and there is no additional billing or rebilling. Our third package costs $49 and keeps your apartment on SharpRent.com six months. There is never any other rebilling or extra billing at SharpRent.com.

  10. Will I be able to rent my own apartment with help from SharpRent.com?
    1. Yes, chances are that if you use SharpRent.com in conjunction with one of our high visibility signs (available for purchase at your local Walmart, Home Depot, Ace Hardware, True Value, Do It Best, and others), price your apartment correctly and give the process time to work you will succeed.
    2. By combining our signs with our web presence we will market your apartment to millions of potential renters.
  11. How do I place an ad on SharpRent.com?
    1. Simply click “Post an Apartment” at the top of any page on our website: www.SharpRent.com.
    2. You will be shown a chart that explains our packages and their prices.
    3. Click select and you will be walk through the process of creating an advertisement for your apartment.
    4. The process is easy and usually takes no more than ten minutes.
  12. How often will I be charged?
    1. You will only be charged once for any program. SharpRent.com NEVER rebills your credit card and will never charge you any additional fees after you create your property listing.
    2. The service is free to renters.
  13. How many people will see my ad?
    1. It is impossible for us to know how many people will click on your ad because it depends upon so many variables—rent amount, location, et cetera.
    2. However the SharpRent.com process markets your apartment to a very wide population of potential renters. We add your listing to Google, Oodle, Craigslist, Facebook and other websites. This makes your apartment available to millions of potential renters. Only SharpRent.com offers distribution on this scale.
    3. Also, our site is designed to work in conjunction with our signs, which are an important way to market your apartment to passersby.

  14. What types of properties can be rented on SharpRent.com?
    1. You can rent any type of property on SharpRent.com. Generally speaking we specialize in renting residential apartments, but we have no prohibition against listing commercial property.
  15. Can I pay for my listing with a check or money order? Can I pay in installments?
    1. No, we only accept credit cards for payment at this time and we aren't able to accept payment in installments.
  16. Do you offer discounts for listing in volume? I am an owner with many properties to rent.
    1. Yes, we offer generous volume discounts. If you're interested in listing multiple properties simply email your request to info@sharprent.com.
  17. Who will show my apartment?
    1. You will be responsible for showing your property to interested renters.
  18. How many photos can I post on SharpRent.com?
    1. You can post ten photos to your advertisement.
  19. Can I purchase your products in a retail store?
    1. Yes, SharpRent.com yard signs can be found in most retail outlets providing home improvement goods and services. Those stores include Walmart, Home Depot, Ace Hardware, True Value, Do It Best, and others. To locate a store in your area click here.
  20. How do I cancel my listing?
    1. You can cancel your ad on SharpRent.com at any time. Simply login to the My Account section using your username and password and then click on Cancel my Listing.
  21. How do I edit my ad? How often can I edit my ad?
    1. You can edit your property for rent listing on SharpRent.com at any time and you can make an unlimited number of edits at no charge. Simply login to the My Account section using your username and password and then click on Edit my Listing.
  22. How do I find out how many times my ad has been viewed?
    1. You can view the number of times your property has been viewed by prospective renters at any time. Simply login to the My Account section using your username and password and you'll see the counter below your listing's address on your account page.
  23. How do I reply to an e-mail from a potential renter?
    1. Email from potential renters will be delivered directly to your inbox. You can reply directly to interested parties.
  24. Can you help me upload my photos?
    1. Yes, email info@sharprent.com and a member of our customer service team will assist you.
  25. What is the best photo to use for my Main Photo?
    1. SharpRent.com recommends that owners use a clear, exterior image of their building, taken on a sunny day, as their primary photo OR a picture of the most attractive room of the apartment while it is well lit.
  26. I replaced a photo on my ad with a new photo but I can still see the old one, why?
    1. Often times it is necessary for users to hit the refresh button on their browser in order to see their new photo appear.
  27. When and how do I post photos of my apartment?
    1. After an apartment listing is successfully input into the SharpRent.com database the user will receive instructions on how to upload photos of the apartment. The photo upload process is quick and easy, but it is necessary to have digital images of the property. Photos can be added and deleted or altered whenever the user chooses over the lifetime of the apartment advertisement. To add, delete or edit photos simply login in to the My Account section and click on Edit Photos.
  28. How can I protect myself from fraudulent offers and scams?
    1. Be alert and watch for spam. Spam is unwanted or unsolicited emails advertising goods or services for sale. If you're concerned about any communication you've received from a potential renter on SharpRent.com please forward the communication to SharpRent.com at info@sharprent.com or you can call toll free 1-877-448-6370, Monday through Friday between the hours of 9am and 5pm eastern standard time.

  30. Why does SharpRent.com need my credit card for the 7 Day Free Trial?
    1. We ask for your credit card for the following reasons:
      1. to insure we're paid if your listing runs for longer than 7 days; and
      2. to insure that we're getting quality listings and accurate data.
    2. Your card will not be charged at all until after seven days have passed, and we will send you a reminder email one day before your free trial expires.
